The four of us are together for a few days. We spent almost a week seeing some New England sites and we now have a little time at home. Although the girls keep in touch with us, this is the “touch” I like best.

Inspired by a newly found enjoyment of baking shows, we’ve been trying out some new recipes over break. The girls have certainly been enjoying the baking experiments in person vs in pictures. This recipe was on the bottle of Karo Syrup we pulled out of the cabinet during a major kitchen reorganization project (that deserves its own post). Hubby went for it. After some debate about whole or chopped pecans, unclear from the recipe, he opted for a combination of both. His first go at pecan pie, and boy was it yummy!
